EON

Life starts small. Yours won’t stay that way.

In developmentEvolution and creationWindows PC
Meet original wildlife and build companion relationships on the Living Shore.
The game

From a single cell to the stars, and every step is yours.

EON is an evolution game that lets you play all of it. You begin as a single cell in a drop of water and end with a civilisation looking up at the stars, and every creature in between is one you designed.

It begins small: hungry, hunted and determined to divide. Eat, survive and grow, and with each generation change what you are. Grow jaws. Sprout legs. Crawl onto the shore and find out what your body can really do.

On land the world gets bigger. Befriend the wildlife or eat it. Raise young, found a tribe, and watch a nest become a village and a village become a civilisation. Then aim it at the stars.

Our aim is the whole journey of life in one game, shaped by your hands. Evolution took four billion years. You can do it in a week.

How it plays

Cell. Creature. Tribe. Civilisation. Then the stars.

Cell

Start as one cell in a drop of water. Eat, dodge whatever wants to eat you, and divide. Each generation, redesign what you are.

Creature

Crawl onto the shore in the body you built. Hunt, forage, make friends or enemies of the wildlife, and raise your young.

Tribe

Your kind gathers. Build a home together, share the work, and decide how to deal with the neighbours.

Civilisation

A village becomes a society. Manage what it needs, grow what it can do, and start looking up.

What makes it different

Grow jaws. Sprout legs.

Your body is yours to design, and every choice changes how you live. A mouth decides what you can eat. Legs decide how fast you can run from what wants to eat you. Armour keeps you alive and slows you down. Build something you love the look of, then go and find out what it is good at.

Befriend the wildlife. Or eat it.

You share the shore with other living things. Some will run. Some will fight. Some can be won over and will follow you anywhere. Whether you treat the world as a pantry or a neighbourhood is entirely your decision.

Raise young. Found a tribe. Build a civilisation.

Survival stops being a one-creature job. Your kind gathers, shares the work and starts to build. A nest becomes a village, a village becomes a society, and the decisions get bigger than what to have for dinner.

Then aim it at the stars.

The last step is the biggest. Design a ship the way you once designed a body, leave the world that made you, and see what is out there.

What you carry forward

The same life, all the way up.

  1. The cell you shaped decides the creature that crawls ashore.
  2. The creature you raised decides the tribe that gathers around it.
  3. The tribe you led becomes the civilisation that builds on its ground.
  4. Nothing starts over. Look at your cities and you can still see the cell.
What we’re building

Making each stage worth spending time in.

  • Development spans creature creation, movement, survival, wildlife, settlements and the connections between them.
  • Our priority is to make those experiences satisfying in their own right while building towards the larger journey.
  • The immediate pleasure of moving, exploring and experimenting matters at every scale.
Why it lasts

Start again as something completely different.

  • Be fast and fragile, slow and armoured, or all teeth
  • Hunt everything you meet, or make friends with it
  • Design a body you love the look of, then find out what it is good at
  • Every new lineage asks new questions, from its first meal to its first city
How it is made

Following a very old daydream.

  • EON comes from years of wanting to create a species and stay with it as its possibilities grow.
  • We’re developing the anatomy, movement and simulation systems that can support that ambition, alongside the landscapes and presentation that make exploring enjoyable.
  • Every stage needs to feel good in your hands and connected to the life you’ve created.
